Mr. S. Mahalingam started his professional career with Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) in 1970. In his 42 year career with TCS, Mr.Mahalingam has been involved in myriad aspects of the Company’s operations and growth, before being appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of the Company in February 2003 and as Executive Director in August 2007.
A chartered accountant by qualification, Mr. Mahalingam began his carrier in 1970 as an IT consultant in TCS when it was a small division of Tata Sons Ltd with about 250 employees. During the course of his long career in TCS, he played a major role in marketing its services across the globe, creating large software development centers, making it a Public Company listed in the Indian Stock Exchanges, playing a leadership role in growing it to a sales turnover of $ 11.6 billion with global operations and employing over 2,75,000 employees, at the time of his retirement from TCS in February 2013.
After his retirement, he continues his involvement with Industry through his position on the Boards of many companies. He was a member of the Tax Administration Reform Commission of Government of India. He is a Trustee of Palkhivala Foundation and a Director on the Board of NPAC.

Mr. Mahalingam was chosen as the best ‘CFO’, in various years, by Business Today, International Market Assessment (IMA), CNBC, CFO India Magazine and Finance Asia.

She runs educational courses in arbitration, conducts seminars and conferences, raises visibility by speaking at meetings and meeting companies to explain what institutional arbitration can provide and how it can be of benefit.
